The tradeoff is it's not compatible with silicone toys, since the two silicones can react and break down the toy's material over time, and it can be a little trickier to wash off than water based formulas, usually just needs a bit of soap. This was the standout of the whole roundup for me, and apparently I'm not alone in that, it's one of the most reviewed, best loved lubes out there. Pharmaceutical grade silicone, completely waterproof, and genuinely didn't feel heavy or greasy the way I expected silicone to feel. A few drops lasted through an entire session without needing anything else. Also fully safe in water, so this is the one I'd grab for shower or bath use.

Elite (Now Called Velvet Touch) Shiitake Silicone

Worth knowing upfront, this product has been rebranded, so you might see it under either name depending on where you look, same formula either way. Infused with shiitake extract and vitamin E, completely tasteless and scentless, which made it disappear into the background in the best way, I genuinely forgot I was using a "flavored or scented" product because there was nothing to notice. Doubles nicely as a massage oil too if you want to stretch its use beyond just lubrication.

Mojo Peruvian Ginseng Silicone Performance Glide

This one leans into a botanical ingredient story, infused with Peruvian ginseng root extract alongside aloe and goji. I'll be honest, I didn't feel any dramatic performance difference from the ginseng itself, that's more of an ingredient story than a guaranteed effect, but as a pure silicone lubricant it performed well, long lasting and smooth.

La Nua Unscented Silicone Lubricant

A quieter, more understated option, high grade silicone with a thoughtful botanical blend including maca root, ginkgo biloba, and cocoa butter. Genuinely rich feeling texture, and the packaging alone, frosted glass with a bamboo top, made it feel like a proper self care item rather than just a functional product.

Wicked Ultra Lube

Minimalist in the best way. Just silicone, nothing else, no additives or fillers. If you want the purest, simplest silicone experience with nothing extra going on, this is it. Fragrance free and genuinely long lasting.

A Few Honest Notes Before You Buy

Every single one of these lasted noticeably longer than any water based lube I've tried, that part of the silicone reputation is completely earned. None of them left a weird film once I washed up with soap and water. And the biggest thing I'd tell anyone starting out: check your toy material before you commit to a silicone lube. If you're using a silicone toy, look at the hybrid or water based options instead, or do what I did and pick up a glass or metal toy so you never have to think about it again.
